ABOUT ERICA
Erica is Founder & Director of Yoga Sanctuary studio and Director & lead Trainer on the Teacher Training Programme. She has been teaching yoga, Breathwork and meditation for over 10 years and has evolved her teachings to primarily focus on the subtle body, somatics and neuroscience, focusing on the mind-body connection, spirituality, and holistic approaches to well-being.
She is known for her integrity, clarity and presence. Her teaching is informed by a rich understanding of embodiment, anatomy and the subtle body. She is moved by finding the balance between effort and ease, movement and stillness, strength and fluidity, discipline and freedom.
Erica trained in a range of styles of yoga including Vinyasa, Mandala, Restorative and Yin yoga, incorporating many styles of Pranayama and Meditation. Her teachings have greatly evolved from the learnings of the subtle body and somatics in recent years. Most recently Erica completed a Diploma in Coaching with Neuroscience and is passionate about guiding people towards personal transformation both on and off the mat.
She runs frequent retreats incorporating women’s wellbeing, yoga, somatics and the elements. The elements being earth, water, fire, air and ether, incorporated into her retreats in a literal and figurative way. Walking the earth, swimming in water, breathing air, incorporating fire in our yoga practice and ether or subtle/spiritual elements that are believed to permeate the universe and connect all living things. Erica invites her students into the joy of having a moving, breathing body focusing on embodying ease within effort.

MEET THE TEAM
Yoga has transformed me in so many ways so I was excited to learn how to offer this practice to others. I have been teaching ever since I completed my yoga classical 250hour teacher training 7 years ago with Samadhi yoga school and my classes have developed and evolved just as I have along the way. A couple of years ago I added to my training by completing 100hours of yin yoga and meditation training with Josh Summers and more recently completed a weaving the theme CDP practice with Persia Juliet. My teachings, whether a vinyasa flow, yin yoga class or a chakra workshop are taught from my heart and can differ according to the lunar cycle, season, group or energy of the day. I look forward to guiding you in your practice.
Having found yoga during a time of self doubt, she discovered the practice of Vinyasa yoga in Yoga Sanctuary and here began the journey to finding her true passion and calling.
Join Lori for classes in studio and come back to yourself, your body and breath. Namaste."
Yoga became an important part of Erica's life almost 15 years ago. While she was juggling a stressful job as a software engineer and two young children, she was drawn to the holistic healing benefits it provided at the time. Finally, taking the plunge to leave her job in IT she embarked on a journey of self-healing and growth, realising that to be of true service to others requires us to look within and seek out what’s needed to heal our own hearts.
When she started teaching yoga full time, her classes began as dynamic Vinyasa Flow and focused on integrating alignment, core work, breathing techniques and creative sequencing. Erica has spent years exploring the intricate studies of yoga and spirituality and continues to do so on a daily basis. Erica opened Yoga Sanctuary in 2015, the first yoga studio in north county Dublin with a range of classes to suit every body. She set out to make yoga accessible to all, meeting people wherever they are, whether it's an interest in the physical aspect of asana or relief from an injury or physical and/or mental tension from everyday life, yoga offers the magic to heal the body, mind and soul and ultimately offers a powerful way of living.
Erica has most recently completed trainings in Prana Mandala Vinyasa with Shiva Rae, Reiki level 1 with Roseleen McNally and 'Yoga for the stages of the Menopause' with Niamh Daly. She is a passionate teacher who's classes serve the purpose of deepening a connection not only to ourselves, but with the people around us. Promoting self care as a space to gather yourself and fine tune, a space to recognise your power through self-love, ultimately recognising your power so that you can step into your power.
She went on to complete her 200hrs in Mozambique in Ashtanga/Vinyasa. It was an experience that ultimately changed her forever. She left feeling overwhelmed yet more in tune with herself then ever before which is a scary thing.
A few months after that she went on to do her Hot 26 training at her home studio in Cape town. She taught for about 2 years before heading to India to complete her 300hrs, where she focused on Ashtanga, Hatha, cleansing techniques, meditation and Yoga Nidra.
Shortly after India Mini moved to Ireland, she has since completed 20hrs in Rocket yoga with Carson Calhoun. One of the reasons she absolutely loves teaching yoga is that at any moment teachers can be students and students can be teachers, It is a never ending learning curve.
Mini is honoured to teach and learn from all who join her classes.
